被父母视为小太阳的独生子女丁放及伙伴们，偶然得到了一条叫"宝贝儿"的小狗。遛狗时跑到了孤独的盲老人梁爷爷的院子里找乐儿，撞倒了葡萄架，放飞了梁爷爷视为伙伴的小鸟，弄丢了笼子里的玉石小罐。为此丁放被父亲打骂后离家出走。

    丁放无意中了解到梁爷爷的孤独、寂寞和苦闷，使丁放及伙伴们大受震动，他们决心把自己心爱的小狗"宝贝儿"驯练成导盲犬，帮助、陪伴梁爷爷。在驯狗、送狗与梁爷爷和解的过程中，在梁爷爷重亲情、善宽容的影响下，丁放和伙伴们终于明白了要想成为真正的小太阳，就要放光发热，多为他人无私地付出。

    Brief Introduction of the Children Drama Little Baby

    Ding Fang, the only child who is regarded as the "little sun" by his parents, accidentally obtained a dog named "little baby" together with his friends. While walking the little dog, they ran into the solitary blind old man——Grandpa Liang's yard for fun. The grape shelf is knocked down by them and then the little bird, which is taken as a dear friend by the grandpa, is let free and the bowlder bird-feeding-pot in the cage is lost. Ding Fang is scolded and beaten by his father because of this and he leaves home after that.

    Ding Fang knows about grandpa Liang's loneliness, solitude and gloom by accident, which stirs him and his friends greatly. They decide to train their dear puppy "little baby" to be a guide dog and give it to the grandpa in order to help as well as accompany him.

    During the process of training the dog, giving the dog and becoming reconciled with grandpa, and also under the influence of grandpa's noble quality of stressing feelings and tending to forgive, Ding Fang and his friends finally come to understand that in order to become the real "little sun", they have to help other people selflessly and "shine" as the sun does, which means they should do as much as they can to be useful.
